Once we have uncapped the frames, we put them in our electric radial extractor which is very good at removing the honey.

There are various prices involved, so have a look below and you should be able to work out how much it will cost you for the service you want. In addition to the extraction price, we charge a £30 clean down fee as it does take a while to get the equipment clean again. There is also a £30 minimum charge.

Extracted honey will be either strained and put into tubs that you supply, or we can sell you tubs of the following sizes. If you are going to use our jarring service, you do not need to buy any tubs.

Example Extraction Cost One:

  • You supply 30 super frames for extraction

  • You ask for them to go into a 20L food grade bucket

  • You say you don’t want the wax and leave it with us

Cost Breakdown:

  • £30.00 = 1x £30.00 Extraction Clean Down Fee

  • £8.75 = 1x 20L Food Grade Bucket

  • £37.50 = 30x £1.25 Per Super Frame Extraction Fee

The cost will be £76.25 + VAT = £91.50

Note on VAT:  If you only have your honey extracted into buckets, we have to charge VAT as we cannot guarantee the end product will be VAT exempt as it could be used used as an ingredient into a vatable product.

At an average of 2.5lbs / 1362g of honey per super frame,  that would typically produce about 40Kg of honey, which is going to fill approximately 88x 454g jars or 117x 340g jars. You will still need to mess around jarring the honey and buying the jars…

Example Extraction Cost Two:

  • You supply 30 super frames for extraction

  • You ask for us to jar the honey into 454g jars

  • You say you don’t want the wax and leave it with us

Cost Breakdown:

  • £61.60 = 88x 454g Jars at 70p each

  • £17.60 = 88x Jarring Service Fee of 20p per jar (variabe)

  • £25.00 = 1x £20.00 Reduced extraction clean down fee

  • £25.00 = 1x £20.00 Reduced jarring machine clean down fee

  • £37.50 = 30x £1.25 Per Super Frame Extraction Fee

The cost will be £166.70 / £1.89 per Jar Average – NO VAT / ZERO RATED

Note on VAT:  If you only have your honey extracted and jarred, the end product will then be zero rated if sold. Due to this we do not have to charge VAT on this service.
